Being Cis is not a privilege, it’s nothing I should feel bad about. It’s not me who’s lifted up unfairly, it’s everyone else who’s downtrodden unfairly. I should be doing mine to make sure everyone’s on my level, but as much as you did not ask to be who you are, I did not ask to be who I am. I refuse to apologize for what I did not do. So please, stop trying to make me feel bad.
I agree that people shouldn’t feel bad for being cisgendered, it’s just what they are. But there are certain privileges that often come along with being cisgendered.
